Some 65,000 Koreans placed an online order for iPhone last weekend, prompting a pandemonium in the national post office network. KT Phone store, an exclusive online distributer for iPhone in Korea was simply inadequate to handle the unexpected surge of interest in the Jesus phone and bungled the shipping -- the delivery was delayed by more than two days.
Hundreds of iPhone mania, too excited to wait until Monday morning, raided scores of post offices on Sunday after tracking down their iPhones sleeping in the local warehouse. The picture above shows some iPhone mania rummaging through hundreds of iPhone shipping boxes looking for their phones.
The first batch of 170,000 iPhones imported for the launching event was reportedly sold out already and KT is rumored to have placed an immediate order for additional 50,000 phones to be shipped from Apple's China factory. Stay tuned to more interesting follow-up on the iPhone in Korea.
